Rikon 16" Scroll Saw

This compact but sturdy scroll saw is well suited for hobbyists seeking to make intricate cuts in thin wood for small projects. Traditionally used for making wooden mosaics called intarsia, as well as jigsaw puzzles and toys, this tool allows clean and burn-free detailed cuts.

The saw has a 120V motor and a variable-speed controller that allows you to select a speed in the range of 550 to 1650 SPM, providing the flexibility to work with a variety of materials.

The throat measures 15 3/4" and the machined aluminum table is 12 1/2", allowing extra access and stability for larger cuts. Using a swivel mechanism, the table tilts up to 45° to the left for angled cuts.

With a cast-iron base and steel body to help dampen vibration and provide a stable work surface, the saw weighs 26 lb. The blower tube clears the cutting area of sawdust as you work.

A 1 3/8" dust port permits connection to a shop vacuum for sawdust removal. A gooseneck work lamp mounted on top of the arm improves visibility and reduces shadows.

The saw includes one plain 18 tpi blade.

A removable high-speed flex shaft attachment is available separately for smoothing curves and creating further detail for projects.

For those seeking a larger scroll saw, a 22" version will be available soon.
