Kreg’s line of Ionic Drive cordless tools runs on long-life lithium-ion batteries that deliver a combination of ample power and run time. The high-efficiency 20V brushless motors can power through difficult tasks without binding or stalling. Circuitry in the battery senses load on the motor and adjusts torque, delivering additional power in demanding situations and helping conserve battery life under lighter loads.
This saw has all the power and capacity of a corded tool in a maneuverable cordless package. It readily handles cuts in sheet goods, hardwood and dimensional lumber.
The soft-start motor gradually ramps up power for improved control, and an electronic brake stops the blade quickly. High-friction overmolded surfaces on the grip provide a secure, comfortable hold. For greater safety, an automatic trigger lock prevents accidental start-up if you happen to depress the switch while picking up the tool. The base and blade shroud have all-metal construction for durability, and an LED light makes it easy to see your cut-line. Cutting depth at 90º is 2 7/16". The cutting depth at 45º is 1 7/8", so you can make bevel cuts in nominal two-by lumber.
Comes with a 40-tooth alternate top bevel blade for fine finishing cuts. 3-year warranty.
Batteries and battery charger sold separately. Two battery capacities are available: 2Ah for when the tool needs to be light and maneuverable, and 4Ah for increased run time.
