Tongue and Groove Router Bits
The tongue and groove bit can be used to rout both halves of a tongue and groove joint. The cutter makes a decorative groove along the joint to hide a seam, such as for hardwood flooring, wainscotting or breadboard panelling. By varying the height of the bit and its projection from the face of the router table fence, you can achieve a variety of looks. They are available as a single bit with cutters that can be reconfigured to cut both the tongue and the groove, or as a set of two matched bits, one for the tongue and the other for the groove.
