It is a simple matter to rout the mortises, cut the tenon stock to length and glue everything together. The tenon has radiused edges to match the routed mortise, eliminating chisel work, and is fluted to prevent hydraulic lock.
Three sizes are available, all in 12" lengths, made of hard maple or birch (depending upon supply). Now there is no excuse for not doing a mortise and tenon joint.

Cut it about 1/16" to 1/8" shorter than the combined depth of the two mortises so there's room for glue and squeeze-out.
The flutes let trapped glue and air escape as you drive the tenon home, preventing hydraulic lock that would keep the joint from closing fully.
Yes, they're milled to 6% to 8% moisture content and can swell slightly if shop humidity rises above that. Return an oversized tenon to size by warming it in a conventional oven at 200°F (93°C) for 10 to 20 minutes.
Keep them in an airtight container, such as a resealable plastic bag, to hold them at a constant moisture content until you're ready to use them.
