Curly Hard Maple Pen Blank

Curly Hard Maple (Acer spp.) – This name is applied to any of several domestic maple species that exhibit a distinctive rippled chatoyance produced by undulating layers of pale, semi-translucent grain. Its hardness and varying grain make it moderately challenging to turn, demanding light cuts with sharp tools to avoid tear-out.

Nominal measurements are 3/4" square by 6" long.
