Wenge (Millettia laurentii) – Medium brown or reddish brown densely streaked with darker grain, it is a straight grained, coarse wood that splinters easily, so it can be challenging to work. It finishes well but often darkens considerably with oil finishes.
Blanks are available in four sizes suitable for turned bowls as well as other projects.
