It has a 1.5 hp motor that produces up to 142 cfm of airflow, and a two-stage filtration system that captures airborne particles as small as 0.5 microns in diameter. A disposable paper pre-filter bag acts as a sleeve around a pleated cartridge filter, allowing the bulk of the material to settle into the extractor’s main collection canister before reaching the cartridge filter, extending its useful life. One cartridge filter and four pre-filter bags are included. Cartridge filters can be cleaned periodically before eventually requiring replacement; filter bags should be replaced more often. Both types of replacement filters are available separately. A steel clamp ring seals the collection canister firmly, and opens and closes with a simple locking cam clasp, so it’s easy to empty the canister or change filters.
The dust extractor comes with a 4" diameter, 78" hose and two hose clamps, one for attachment to the extractor’s inlet port and one for attachment to the tool, either directly to a 4" port or to an included adapter for a snug seal on 2 3/4", 1 7/8", 1 9/16" or 1 3/8" dust ports.
