Bring Your Team or Friends Together with a Hands-On Experience

Whether you’re building stronger bonds with colleagues, celebrating a special occasion, or just looking for a creative way to spend time together, we are offering a unique lineup of skill-based workshops that deliver more than just fun — they inspire craftsmanship, connection, and inspire.

Our corporate and private events are hosted at all our Lee Valley store locations, designed to offer groups an exciting hands-on experience learning new skills from passionate advisors. You’ll leave not just with something you made by hand, but with new skills to inspire future projects.

We currently offer two workshops, ideal for team-building or private celebrations.

Workshops

Wooden Pen Turning (Up to 5 Participants)

Discover how to shape something beautiful and functional. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of woodturning as you craft a one-of-a-kind pen. Select from a variety of pen blanks, each with its own unique character, and transform it into something you’ll reach for every day.

That “look what I made” moment is what makes this experience so exciting – the feel of the finished pen in your hand, smooth and balanced, ready to be used or gifted.

Not available at our Pickering or Saskatoon stores. We can accommodate up to four participants at our Windsor store.

 

Spoon Carving (Up to 8 Participants)

Take part in a timeless tradition and carve something you can truly use. In this workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of spoon carving with traditional hand tools, shaping a simple piece of wood into a functional utensil.

That “look what I made” moment happens as the rough shape becomes a curve, and you make a custom-fit handle. You will realize you’ve created something you’ll use for years.
