Pyrography on Wood

Learn step by step how to use a range of wood-burning tips on a flat wood surface. The techniques used can also be applied to three-dimensional projects crafted in wood, from shaker boxes and paddles to bird carvings and anything else you can dream up. All tools and materials will be provided, but please bring your own burner and tips if you have them. A recommended tools list will be available at registration.

Instructor Bio

Brad Kleinsasser has been woodworking most of his life. He has over thirty years of woodturning experience, making all sorts of items including bowls, pens and open spirals from a variety of materials. His experience in multi-axis turning includes various techniques, both with spindle and faceplate work. He is a member of the Woodturners Association of Manitoba. In addition to woodturning, he practices pyrography, leathercraft and furniture building.

Registration Requirements

Seating is Limited. Please register early to avoid disappointment. Unless otherwise stated, previous experience is not required to participate in seminars and attendees should be 16 years old or older. Seminar tickets are not available online.

All tools and materials will be supplied.

Food & Drink

Beverages are provided at our seminars and a light sandwich lunch is provided at all-day events. Please discuss any special dietary needs with the staff at time of registration. In an effort to reduce waste, we encourage you to bring in your own coffee mug and/or refillable water bottle.

What to Wear

We require that you wear closed shoes (e.g. running shoes) to all seminars.
