Similar to the Osmo wood waxes, the Osmo wood wax intensive finishes are both a stain and a finish, are easy to apply and appear translucent when applied in a single coat; however, a second coat of the intensive formulation significantly increases opacity and color saturation, such that they are virtually opaque with only minimal wood grain visible. On their own, they produce a sheen between matte and satin and can be top coated for increased sheen and durability. Osmo wood wax intensive finishes are hard-wearing and have moderate resistance to water, alcohol and mild acids, making them suitable for a range of applications, from flooring and doors to furniture. They are forgiving to apply – a variety of methods can be used without requiring a dust-free environment. Adding extra coats is straightforward with no additional sanding required. Non-toxic once cured, these finishes are safe for food contact.
