Rubio Monocoat 2C
Rubio Monocoat is a single-coat application hard wax linseed oil that is durable and versatile enough to be used on all types of wood surfaces, including flooring. Easy to apply with a non-abrasive pad or plastic applicator, it leaves a finish that allows you to appreciate the natural texture and feel of the wood, while providing lasting protection against water, heat and daily wear and tear. Adhering directly to wood fibers, the finish dries in 24 to 36 hours, cures to 80% in 2 days, and cures fully in 5 days.
Providing high coverage without any overlaps or starting marks, 350ml covers between 105 and 175 sq.ft. Coverage can vary, as some high-absorbency woods such as walnut may absorb more finish.
Supplied as two components, Part A, the oil, and Part B, the accelerator that helps to reduce cure time. The two components are mixed at a ratio of 3:1 (only mix enough to use in one setting). After application, let sit for 3 to 5 minutes and then wipe the excess off with a clean towel.
This is an environmentally friendly, food-safe product with zero VOCs, water or solvents.
