This plane was traditionally used by "gentlemen" who wanted the best for occasional work, but didn't need full-sized tools. Made of European red beech with a hornbeam sole, it is about 8" long with a 1-1/2" wide wedged blade (Rc58).
The wedged blade is adjusted by light hammer taps to set angle and projection, a process that permits very fine, quick adjustment.
An excellent small plane, it is less tiring to use than a full-sized plane.
