Specifically designed for applying veneer with hot hide glue, this is the only veneering hammer that we know of that’s still in production.
And it happens to be a good one. Drawn across the work with firm downward pressure to push out bubbles and ensure good adhesion, the 3 3/4" wide face has a smoothly rounded edge to avoid snags and scratches. The opposing square face has a bellied profile for work on small pieces and for driving veneer nails.
The steel head retains heat well, so it can be warmed prior to use to avoid drawing heat out of the glue and making it set prematurely.
Measures 12 3/4" overall with a contoured ash handle. Made in Germany.
