Just like its full-size version, this functional 1:3 scale surface dog has a flat face for work registration and a rim that supports and stabilizes it on a miniature workbench. The post fits in a 17/64" diameter dog hole, resisting movement from horizontal forces. The face is 11/32" × 3/16" tall. Solid brass, the surface dog is non-corroding and kind to your tools.
To ensure you have enough on hand for fast and repeatable work positioning, they are supplied as a set of four.

A surface dog has a flat face for squaring or registering work against, rather than a rounded stop meant mainly to hold a piece in place, which makes it better suited to positioning small parts precisely on a miniature bench.

These Veritas miniature surface dogs are sized for a 17/64" dog hole, the same spacing used by the Veritas miniature wonder dog and other miniature-workbench hardware.
