  • Four Radii in Two Tools: One tool cuts 1/16" and 1/8" radii, the other cuts 3/16" and 1/4" radii – a different cutter at each end gives you four distinct roundover sizes without changing tools.
  • Fixed Fences Control Depth: Two fixed fences on each tool stop it from cutting past the set radius, so you reach the finished profile automatically without measuring or test cuts.
  • Push or Pull Stroke: The tools cut equally well in both directions, letting you work with the grain regardless of piece orientation.
  • Rc48-52 Tool Steel: Made in England from tool steel hardened to Rc48-52; holds an edge well and is ground accurately to final shape.
  • Sharpening Kit Included: The set includes an aluminum extrusion sized to sharpen all four cutting radii, plus the 1/2" inside curve, along with 600x silicon carbide paper and a wedge to hold it in position.
  • Avoids Router Set-Up and Noise: Cuts the same roundovers a router produces, without the dust, noise, and set-up time, and with no risk of tearout on short grain or curved sections.

A cornering tool is actually a small molding plane. It cuts a fixed-radius curve on an edge.

Our cornering tools have a different radius cutter at either end. One tool cuts a 1/16" and a 1/8" radius and the other cuts a 3/16" and a 1/4" radius. They are ground with two fixed fences that stop the tool from cutting past the fixed radius. Made in England from tool steel hardened to Rc48-52, they hold an excellent edge.

Easy to use, they cut on either the push or pull stroke. They remove material quickly and easily. Since they do the work of four rounding planes, they are not only economical, but they also avoid the dust, noise and set-up time required to do the same work with a router.

They are accurately ground, ready for final honing. Included in the set is an extrusion designed to sharpen the four different cutting radii plus the 1/2" radius inside curve. A piece of 600x silicon carbide paper and a wedge (to hold it into position) complete the sharpening kit.

The set includes both cornering tools and the sharpening kit. The sharpening kit is also available separately (made in Canada).
