About Veritas seconds: this stock of our double-convex detail palm plane (05P9005) has some minor cosmetic flaws – a scratch, a pit in the casting or tiny blemishes– but the planes are functionally perfect. Quantities of seconds are limited and expected to sell out quickly.

With a height-adjustable palm rest for better in-hand registration, this miniature plane is easily maneuvered and permits fine, controlled cuts. The plane has a 1/2" side-to-side radius and a 4" front-to-back radius.

• Investment-cast steel body has a 45° bed angle and a fixed mouth, and uses a brass retention screw to secure the included 30° bevel A2 tool steel blade (0.06" thick by 3/8" wide)

• Sole is approximately 1 1/2" long by 5/8" wide

• The hardwood palm rest is removable for work in tight spaces
