To cover a wide range of sanding applications, this kit includes a DEROS electric sander, an edge protector, a Roundy hand-sanding block and a selection of Abranet Grip mesh abrasive discs, all supplied with a special-edition Systainer case.
Designed to minimize noise and vibration, the sander has a 6" diameter platen and an aggressive 5mm orbit pattern, permitting rapid sanding of large surfaces while yielding consistent finishes. To allow effectively dust-free sanding, a pattern of holes in the platen distributes suction across the entire sanding disc, and a rear port accepts a 1" diameter vacuum hose (available separately). In variable-speed mode, the upper control paddle lets you adjust speed without interrupting your work – pressing the paddle increases the rpms; a lighter squeeze slows the motor. Fixed-speed mode locks in any of five settings in a 5000 to 10,000 rpm range, with the paddle serving as an on/off switch to stop the tool in seconds. With a noise rating of 71 dB and low vibration output (3.4m/s²), the 350W brushless motor pairs with the myMirka app to monitor long-term vibration exposure. Backed by a 2-year warranty.
The included edge protector prolongs the life of the backing pad by shielding it from contacting your work when sanding edges and corners.
Like the DEROS sander, the ergonomically designed Roundy sanding block connects to a 1" diameter vacuum hose and has a pattern of dust-collection holes in the platen. It uses 6" Abranet grip discs, which wrap around the sides to permit precise corner and edge sanding.
The kit comes with 40 Abranet discs (10 each of 80x, 120x, 180x and 320x) that use aluminum oxide grit bonded to a tough polyamide mesh to resist loading and maximize dust recovery.
The special-edition black Systainer case accommodates the sander and accessories for organized storage and transport.
