Our jointer/edger can be used on cabinet scrapers, scraper plane blades, handsaws and ski edges.
It has a 45° jointing capability as well as the standard 90°. The handle has a comfortable, ergonomic shape and the screws are designed so they can be tightened with a 25¢ piece (to accommodate skiers).
In the shop, it is invaluable for jointing scrapers and handsaws; the fence is relieved next to the file to accommodate tooth set. Anodized aluminum with solid brass screws. Use with a 6" or 8" mill file (not included).

Yes. The fence is specifically relieved (cut back) beside the file slot to accommodate the set on handsaw teeth. This lets you joint the tips of handsaw teeth square without the fence interfering with the tooth set.
It works at the standard 90° for jointing scrapers and handsaw teeth flat, and at 45° for filing the edge of cabinet scraper blades, angled scraper plane blades, and similar tools that require a bevelled edge.
The clamping screws are proportioned to accept a standard 25¢ coin as a driver. This makes the tool usable anywhere – including ski slopes, where a screwdriver is rarely at hand – without any additional tools.
The body is anodized aluminum, which is lightweight and resistant to corrosion. The clamping screws are solid brass.
