For use with any 6" sander with a hook facing, regardless of its dust hole configuration, these polyester substrate discs have ceramic grains that are designed to fracture as they wear to continuously renew their cutting edges.
This not only improves the service life of the disc, but more important, it produces an exceptionally consistent scratch pattern. Suitable for use on a wide range of materials, including wood, epoxy, fiberglass, metal and painted surfaces, they have excellent edge wear resistance and are coated to resist clogging.
As the abrasive doesn’t break down into smaller particles and leaves such a consistent scratch pattern, it’s important to work through a progression of grits. The extended range of grits ensures an appropriate progression range for any sanding task. Made in Finland.

The ceramic abrasive doesn't break down into finer particles as it dulls, so skipping a grit leaves the coarser scratch pattern behind instead of removing it. Working through the progression from coarse to fine is what actually refines the surface.
The Galaxy Multifit line covers coarser grits from 40x to 320x for shaping and surface preparation, while the Fine Galaxy Multifit discs run from 400x to 2000x for finish sanding. Start with the standard Galaxy Multifit discs and move to the fine line once you're refining the final surface.
