For use with any 6" sander with a hook facing, regardless of its dust hole configuration, these polyester substrate discs have ceramic grains that are designed to fracture as they wear to continuously renew their cutting edges.
This not only improves the service life of the disc, but more important, it produces an exceptionally consistent scratch pattern. Suitable for use on a wide range of materials, including wood, epoxy, fiberglass, metal and painted surfaces, they have excellent edge wear resistance and are coated to resist clogging.
As the abrasive doesn’t break down into smaller particles and leaves such a consistent scratch pattern, it’s important to work through a progression of grits. The extended range of grits ensures an appropriate progression range for any sanding task.

Move to the Fine Galaxy Multifit discs, which start at 400x, once the standard Galaxy Multifit discs, running 40x to 320x, have shaped and leveled the surface and you're ready to refine it toward a finished look.
