Oneida Air Systems has a well-earned reputation for providing industrial-grade dust management tools for smaller workshops, creating compact systems with high airflow and efficient dust collection. A compact version of Oneida Air System’s cyclone dust collector, this model provides the capacity and efficiency of a full-size dust collector system with a footprint no larger than a typical shop vac.
It works through cyclonic separation; as debris enters the vortex, centrifugal force concentrates the particles at the periphery, where they slow and descend in the conical chamber to fall into the collection drum. This separates up to 99% of dust and debris from the airflow before it even reaches the filter, so the filter loads more slowly and suction loss is minimized.
The filter itself is a HEPA-rated cartridge with 40 square feet of surface area, capable of stopping particles as small as 0.3 microns in diameter. A non-stick coating on the pleated filter facilitates cleaning with compressed air, extending filter life. Powered by a 1.5 hp motor, the efficient impeller is capable of moving up to 583 cubic feet of air per minute. It produces up to 83 dB of sound, roughly the volume of a lathe in operation.
Dust and chips are collected in a drum underneath the cyclone; the 22 gallon container accepts 36" × 36" bags and has casters to help you move it out from under the dust collector when full. A window on the lid allows you to gauge the fill level from outside.
It has an integral intake port with a 5" outside diameter; a reduction fitting for connecting with 4" hoses is available separately.
The system takes up a 28" × 24 3/4" footprint and is just over 64" tall. With a weight of 85 lb when assembled, it’s also fairly portable for such a powerful system.
