Wire Compost Bin

Load in leaves, grass clippings and other yard waste from the open top, then use the pull-out corner rods to reach in and turn the pile without lifting the whole unit. Join two bins together if you want an easier way to turn material between them as it breaks down.

Not usually, and this bin's open wire construction helps keep it that way by letting air move freely through the pile. Odor problems mostly come from compacted, poorly ventilated material, which this design is built to avoid.

This bin is sized and built for bulky yard waste, so leaves, grass clippings and small garden trimmings are well suited to it. Avoid packing it with anything that needs a sealed or turned system, since the open wire sides won't contain finer, wetter material.

It's built from heavy-gauge 1/8" steel wire with a polyester powder-coat finish, assembled into a 36" × 36" × 30" high frame that stands up to outdoor exposure.
