Description

These high-quality, Japanese-made mattocks are surprisingly lightweight and well balanced for comfortable one-handed use.

The cultivator mattock has a 4" long, four-tine cultivator end for digging and clearing debris, and a mattock end (3" long with a 2 3/4" wide blade) for chopping small roots and trenching. The pick mattock has a 3" pick end for breaking up compacted soil, and a 3" long by 2 1/2" wide mattock end.

Each has a tough, rust-resistant stainless-steel head, a 14" long Japanese white oak handle with a rubber grip, and an exposed wedge that can be tapped to tighten the handle if required.

Also available individually, these are good tools for smaller gardens.
