Q: What else can the gardener's basket be used for around the kitchen?
Beyond rinsing vegetables outdoors, it works well as a fruit bowl, and lining it with a cloth turns it into a basket for serving bread or other baked goods.
09A0465 - Gardener's Wash Basket
This basket was designed to be used by gardeners to wash freshly harvested vegetables before taking them inside. You can gather your vegetables and then hose them off right in the same basket.
However, when our staff first saw the basket, many wanted to use it for fruit instead, while others suggested adding a cloth liner for serving bread or other baked goods.
Measuring 16" long, 11" wide and 4" deep, it is made of chrome-plated steel to resist rust.

Yes, that's exactly what this vegetable wash basket is designed for. You fill it with freshly picked vegetables and hose them down right there, so soil and debris rinse away before anything comes inside.
It's chrome-plated steel, which stands up to repeated hosing and outdoor use better than an untreated wire basket would.
It measures 16" long by 11" wide by 4" deep, big enough for a full colander's worth of produce in one load.
