These slim indicators fit neatly into most indoor pots, letting you see at a glance when to water – and just as important, when not to.
A cotton insert absorbs moisture from the surrounding soil. When the soil is sufficiently moist, the cotton turns blue, then returns to white as it dries, providing a simple visual cue for watering. This makes it particularly useful for moisture-sensitive plants.
The medium size measures 7" long and fits pots 3 1/2" to 6" in diameter, and the large is 10" and suits 6" to 12" containers. Each indicator has a durable polycarbonate housing, and each biodegradable cotton insert lasts about 6 to 9 months, depending on soil conditions. Sold as a package of two indicators with two replacement inserts.
