This reliable weather station, in common with similar all-in-one stations, displays current date, time, temperature and humidity readings, and monitors barometric trends to predict weather changes. In addition, this version comes with a high-quality wind-speed sensor that records current speed updated every 30 seconds and top speed history, a useful and interesting feature for any avid weather watcher.
The station displays indoor temperature from 0° to 37°C (32° to 99°F), outdoor temperature from -40° to 60°C (-40° to 140°F) and relative humidity (from 10% to 99%), providing min/max readings for all three; barometric pressure trends are shown with arrows and weather icons on the color LCD screen. Receiving signals* from the U.S. Atomic Clock in Boulder, Colorado, the self-calibrating date-and-time clock even resets itself for Daylight Saving Time. You can program the station to alert you with beeps and a flashing icon when preset temperature, humidity and wind-speed levels have been reached.
The backlit screen operates on an included 5.0V AC adapter or three AAA batteries you supply. Its two wireless outdoor sensors can be mounted in separate locations up to 330’ away (two AA batteries for the temperature/humidity sensor and two C batteries for the wind sensor not included). *The radio signals broadcast are detectable throughout the United States (except Alaska and Hawaii) and in most parts of Canada (except the Yukon and Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and the Atlantic provinces). For areas where there is no signal detection, the clock will operate as a normal clock and will require manual time correction as necessary.
