Zipbolt Railing Connector

Useful for perpendicular joints such as when attaching a handrail to a post or railing, this sturdy all-steel connector draws the parts together firmly. To tighten or loosen the connector, simply adjust the geared mechanism using a hex bit.

At one end of the 8mm (5/16") bolt, an anchor seats in a 25mm (1") dia. by 12.5mm (1/2") deep recess in the handrail, centered 50mm to 60mm (2" to 2 3/8") from the joint. At the other end, a 12mm (15/32") diameter, 31mm (1 1/4") long flanged insert nut screws into the post or horizontal rail. For use in wood or composites.
