This two-part bracket simplifies installation of 2 × 4 deck, stair or fence railings, creating a strong, snug joint with no conspicuous fasteners.
The surface-mounted components link together with a tapered sliding dovetail for secure rail-to-post connection. Small projecting spurs help hold the fittings in place while you mark the position or drive screws.
The deck and fence railing bracket can be used to mount stock on edge or to install cap rails. The stair rail connector is designed to hold a rail at the typical 35° angle but can easily accommodate 33° to 38° slopes.
Each package contains two sets of fittings (enough for one rail) and exterior-grade fasteners suitable for use with ACQ-treated lumber. Made in Canada from durable polycarbonate, the fittings can be painted to match adjacent materials.
