When you buy products that need to be mounted, the supplied wall anchors usually aren't very good. This is because their inclusion is often an afterthought, forcing you to find a better alternative. That’s why we've put together this kit using the best anchors we've tested. Made in Germany, they are for use in hollow or solid wall materials and come in standard and toggle styles.
The standard anchors (DuoPower) have a two-part design that lets them adapt to voids in a wall by expanding, folding or coiling as a screw is driven through, creating a secure anchor with excellent holding power. Made from tough nylon, they won't collapse when tapped with a hammer, and rigid fins along their length help prevent twisting once seated.
The toggle anchor (DuoTec), typically used for hanging items from a ceiling, has an unusual yet highly effective design. It has integral stainless-steel plates to engage screw threads for a secure hold, and a sliding insert with a flange that seats nearly flush in a drilled hole. The insert travels on a break-away connector that joins the anchor and insert.
Providing a useful assortment in the sizes you are most likely to need at an excellent price, the 108-piece kit contains 40 each of the 5mm and 6mm anchors, 20 of the 8mm anchors and eight of the toggle anchors, supplied in a rugged plastic case that has dividers to help keep things organized.
