Description

Tansu (the Japanese word for “trunk”) refers to a variety of trunks, chests, boxes and storage cabinetry popular in Japan from about 1650 to 1920. Combining the skills of the cabinetmaker, blacksmith and lacquer artist, Tansu can run the gamut from simple unadorned cabinetry to ornate chests using 100 or more pieces of hardware.

This 53mm diameter decorative plate is made from 0.6mm brass sheet and can be mounted with either pins (included) or small round-head screws.
