88K8970 - Turned Measuring Spoons Hardware
With this hardware and handles of your own design, making a set of practical, stylish measuring spoons is a relatively straightforward turning project. Constructed much like turned pens, they make an interesting alternative for a pen turner.
The set includes 1/4 teaspoon, 1/2 teaspoon, 1 teaspoon and 1 tablespoon sizes, each with a food-safe chrome-plated finish and the measurement shown on the inside bottom of the spoon with markings that won’t wear off over time. At the other end of each handle, a cross-bored finial accepts an included 1" diameter ring clip, allowing each to be hung from the larger 2 1/4" diameter ring clip (also included) and removed individually for use or cleaning.
Requires a standard "A" mandrel, a bushing set, a 7mm drill bit and four wooden blanks, minimum 5/8" × 3 3/8", all sold separately. Because mishaps can occur during turning or assembly, we also offer brass replacement tubes.
