Rare-Earth Rod Magnets

Rare-Earth Rod Magnets

(0 Reviews)
  • Higher Force Than Disc Magnets: Rod magnets are more powerful cousins of same-diameter circular magnets; the greater volume of neodymium material translates to higher holding force.
  • Works with Ring Magnets: Combine rod magnets with 1/4" I.D. ring magnets to create floating, stacking or repulsion mechanisms of many kinds.
  • Glue-Friendly Finish: Nickel-plated with slightly rounded edges; bonds securely with almost any adhesive, with epoxy being the most secure permanent option.
  • Multiple Size Options: Available in multiple diameter and length combinations to match the force and geometry needed for each application.
  • Small Sizes in 10-Packs: The 1/8" × 1/8" size is available in packs of 10 only; all other sizes are available individually.

Until you have actually used rare-earth magnets, you cannot appreciate their strength. The strength of these magnets has to do with the electron array in the neodymium, the rare earth they are made from. This force only increases with the magnet’s dimensional size.

These rod magnets are more powerful cousins of the 0.25" circular magnets. By combining them with the 1/4" inside diameter ring magnets, you can create interesting mechanisms of all kinds.

Nickel plated with slightly rounded edges, they can be glued in place with almost any glue (epoxy is the most secure).

Dimensions given are diameter by length. The 1/8" × 1/8" magnets are sold only in packs of 10; all others are sold individually.
