Description

Fu-Tung Cheng makes a compelling case for bringing a common foundation and sidewalk material into the kitchen and bathroom. Concrete can be shaped and molded, taking on simple or compound curves that are difficult to achieve with traditional materials. It can be colored and textured, and have smooth and polished surfaces. Inlays of granite, marble, metal, semiprecious stones, shells and fossils can further embellish this versatile material.

Close-up color photographs take the builder through every detail of design, mold making, mixing the concrete, inlaying, grinding and polishing, and maintaining the finished surface.
