We normally sell these magnetic pick-up tools for shop use to retrieve small parts like nuts, bolts and washers from inaccessible places, but one of our customers assures us that one of them is a necessity when she is sewing.
Pins and needles are often difficult to pick up, yet if you don't, they will invariably end up stuck in somebody's foot as that person pads around unsuspectingly. These make excellent gifts for all those who sew.
The retriever extends to 25", and even if you cannot see the pin on the floor, if you waggle the retriever around in the area where you dropped it, you need only come within an inch or two and the magnet will recover it.
When not in use, it collapses to a compact 5".
