They don't just look like mighty prehistoric creatures; these wooden models can walk, thrash their tails and roar like them, too. Powered by an included motor, they spring into action when an internal sensor detects sounds such as a nearby handclap (but can also be turned off whenever an animated dinosaur in the room doesn't suit the occasion).
Each model is made from laser-cut pieces of plywood that can be simply popped out, given a light edge sanding and press-fitted together – no glue or tools needed. Pieces are numbered so it's easy to follow the pictorial instructions to complete each model in about an hour, but some dexterity is needed to handle small pieces.
Assembled, the 82-piece Triceratops is about 13” × 5” tall; the T-Rex has 85 pieces and is about 14" × 7 1/2" tall; the Stegosaurus has 75 pieces and is about 13" × 6 1/2" tall. Each runs on three AAA batteries (you supply). Recommended for ages 12 and up.
