These high-quality boards are the cutting board of choice for many professional chefs. Made from a composite of wood-based paper fiber and resin, they have the look and feel of wood while adding some distinct benefits. Like wood, they won't readily dull knives, but they are dishwasher safe. They also develop a rich wood patina over time, are nonporous to resist stains and odors, and are NSF approved for food safety. (Both sides are usable and are heat resistant to 350°F.)
The Gourmet cutting board is 3/8" thick with a 3/4" wide juice groove around the edge (with the opposite side being a regular flat cutting board), and is available in two sizes. A corner hole for hanging also makes for easy lifting and carrying.
