Description

Popping popcorn on the stove top can be tricky at best. You need to keep the corn moving in the pot to avoid burning it, and this usually involves vigorously shaking the pot back and forth for quite some time.

This popper, popular since the 1920s, uses an integral stirring device to keep the kernels moving on the bottom of the pot as you turn a crank at the end of the handle. Our tests proved it is simple to use and better than other methods, including both microwave and hot-air poppers.

Virtually every kernel pops and nothing sticks to the bottom of the 6-quart aluminum pot.
