50J1401 – The Plugger Bit & 10 Dowels
This reaming bit simplifies the task of restoring stripped screw holes.
The bit has the same 16° taper as a standard crank-type pencil sharpener. Used in a drill, it reams a tapered hole, which you then plug with a matching dowel (or scrap of wood) sharpened in your pencil sharpener, so it fits perfectly.
By adjusting the depth, you can easily make holes for plugs of any size up to 3/8" in diameter.
10mm (3/8") shank. Supplied with ten 0.3" diameter dowels that are pre-drilled through the center, sparing you the trouble of drilling pilot holes before reinserting screws.
