About Veritas seconds: this stock of our PM-V11 1/4" butt chisel (05S2604) has some minor symmetrical or cosmetic flaw – slightly non-symmetrical on the side grinding – but the chisel is functionally perfect. Quantities of seconds are limited and expected to sell out quickly.

Butt chisels have shorter blades than most chisels; some woodworkers find this offers improved control.

• Blade length, including bolster, is about 3"
• 30° primary bevel, with a 2° micro-bevel
• PM-V11 tool steel blade is lapped flat, tapered from shoulder to tip
