This is one of our earliest product designs – and one of our most elegant. First released in 1996, it was last sold in 2020, as it slowly succumbed to the proliferation of digital devices that perform similar functions.
However, a tool that has seen continuous use for about 4000 years is hard to call “obsolete.”
The Veritas Plumb Bob is not only attractive but functional; the bob fits into a case that protects the tip and serves as the cord spool. The case also holds a special collet so the bob can be readily used for alignment work on a drill press. Of course, there are innumerable applications today for a plumb line.
The bob is 2" long and is held in the 1" diameter case by an integral O-ring. It is compact, versatile and attractive, and needs only gravity to operate.
Solid brass. Cord and drawstring bag included. Made in Canada.
