Q: Why do I need a mounting plate for a magnetic work light?
This steel mounting plate for magnetic-mount LED work light gives the light something to grip, since its magnetic base can't hold onto wood, plastic or other non-magnetic surfaces.
05P8050 – Veritas Miniature Large Shoulder Plane

Calling this a "miniature large” shoulder plane may seem like a contradiction, but that's exactly what it is: a fully functional 1:3-scale version of our large shoulder plane.
Measuring 2 3/4" long by 7/16" wide and weighing just over 3 oz, it's useful for fine trimming work, making it a practical choice for model making, instrument making and other small-scale projects. Together, the 15° bed angle and 25° blade bevel yield a 40° cutting angle that is well suited to end-grain trimming and shoulder work.
It has an investment-cast stainless-steel body with a machined sole and ground sides. A stainless-steel Norris-style adjuster permits precise blade setting, while the turned brass lever cap knob pivots 90° to either side to suit your preferred grip.
Made in Canada, it is supplied in a French-fitted embossed leatherette box.

Screw it in place for a permanent mount, or use adhesive for a quicker installation. Either method works on any surface where the light is needed.
It can be screwed or glued to any surface, such as a workbench, wall or cabinet.
