You can choose a high-carbon replacement blade, an uncambered A2 blade or an A2 toothed blade.

Blades for the Veritas scraping plane include a 0.055" high-carbon steel replacement blade and an optional 1/8" (0.125") thick blade of A2 tool steel for those who prefer uncambered blades.
Also available is a 1/8" (0.125") thick A2 tool steel toothed blade with V-shaped teeth at 25 teeth per inch. The toothed blade will prepare a surface for veneering by lightly grooving it to increase surface area for better glue adhesion. It is also used to pre-condition areas of very difficult grain before the regular scraping blade is used.
All blade styles are 2 7/8" wide, hardened to Rc48-51, and come with the cutting edges ground at 45°.

Use the high-carbon or A2 blade for general scraping; choose the uncambered A2 blade if you prefer a straight edge, and the toothed A2 blade for veneer prep and very difficult grain.
Its V-shaped teeth at 25 tpi lightly groove a surface to improve glue adhesion for veneering, and pre-condition difficult grain before regular scraping.
All three blades are 2 7/8" wide and hardened to Rc48–51. The A2 blades are 1/8" thick, while the high-carbon steel blade is 0.055" thick.
The cutting edges are ground at 45°, and the blades are hardened to Rc48-51.
