One Day – Online Only – Limited Stock
About Veritas seconds: this stock of our 2 3/8" replacement blade (05P3193) has some minor cosmetic flaw; performance of the blade is not affected. Quantities of seconds are limited and expected to sell out quickly.
This is a top-quality replacement blade for Stanley/Record #4 1/2, #5 1/2, #6 and #7 bench planes in PM-V11 tool steel. The blade is lapped on the face side to a flatness tolerance of 0.0005" or better, with an average roughness (Ra) of 5 microinches (0.000005") or better.
The blade is 0.100" thick, 25% thicker than the industry standard of 0.080". Increased thickness reduces chatter. It is 7" long, has a 30° bevel and fits almost all makes of the plane sizes listed. Due to minor manufacturing variations over the last century, the pawl on the end of the lateral adjust lever on older planes may have to be filed slightly to fit in the blade slot.
Made in Canada.
