Pliers of this style have long been valued by jewellers, modelmakers and electronics buffs, as the broad contact surfaces of the toothless jaws won’t easily scratch surfaces. The slightly flared, duck-bill profile of the tips lets you get in tight to an adjacent surface to grasp projecting items, even when approaching from an angle, and a through-hole near the tips aids when pulling or twisting wire.
The 6 1/8" pliers have 2" long jaws, a maximum opening of 1 3/4" and a 2mm (0.08") through-hole. The 7 1/2" pliers have 3" jaws that open to 3", with a 2.5mm (0.1") through-hole. Both are made of high-carbon chrome-vanadium steel plated with a hard-wearing satin-nickel finish and PVC-dipped handles for sure grip.
