Sized to accommodate common standard hex nuts and bolt heads (1/4", 5/16", 3/8" diameter bolts), these punches are used to make precise hexagonal recesses up to 3/8" deep in softwood or hardwood.

Just drill a hole to match the diameter of the bolt shank, and position the punch over the hole; with a few hammer taps, it defines the recess outline. Punch tips are machined and ground from hardened O1 tool steel (Rc48-52) and combined with shanks of softer steel for shock absorption. Shanks have a black-oxide finish to resist rust and are grooved for grip.

Available in 7/16" (for 1/4"), 1/2" (for 5/16") and 9/16" (for 3/8") sizes; each measures 3" long overall.

Made in Canada.

For sharpening the punches, we offer a pair of diamond hones separately.
