  • Crosscut Hand Saw for Joinery: Designed for cutting across or perpendicular to the grain, this saw is well suited to controlled work such as cutting tenon shoulders. High-Carbon Steel Blade: The 9 1/4" blade is 0.020" thick, with 16 teeth per inch and 0.003" of set per side.
  • Smooth Crosscuts: 15° rake and alternating bevel angles sever wood fibers cleanly across the grain.
  • Composite Saw Spine: The spine incorporates stainless-steel powder for weight, glass fiber for stiffness and a polymer resin binder.
  • Solid Assembly: The over-molded blade and stainless-steel handle-mounting bolt create a solid blade, spine and mount assembly.
  • Hardwood Handle: A single brass fastener secures the comfortable hardwood handle.
  • Compact: At 14 1/4" long overall, the saw provides about 1 9/16" of cut depth in a well-balanced format.
  • Made in Canada: The saw is patented and manufactured in Canada.

You want a crosscut saw whenever cutting across or perpendicular to the grain, such as when cutting tenon shoulders. A crosscut blade has teeth filed with alternating bevel angles so it severs rather than tears wood fibers. It tracks better and leaves a smoother finish than would a rip-cut blade used across the grain.

Our crosscut saw is an innovative blend of tradition and technology, incorporating the critical characteristics of a classic fine joinery saw but made using modern production processes and state-of-the-art materials. The saw spine is an advanced material, incorporating stainless-steel powder for weight, glass fiber for stiffness, and a polymer resin binder. The over-molded blade and stainless-steel handle-mounting bolt create a solid blade/spine/mount assembly. A single brass fastener secures the hardwood handle.

The 9 1/4" long, 0.020” thick high-carbon steel blade has 16 teeth per inch, with 0.003" of set per side. The teeth have 15° rake and bevel angles. Cut depth is about 1 9/16".

A comfortable, well-balanced saw. 14 1/4" long overall. Patented. Made in Canada.
