About Veritas seconds: this stock of our crosscut tenon saw (05T1405) has some minor cosmetic flaw on the handle or the spine; the saw blade is not a second and performance of the saw is not affected. Quantities of seconds are limited and expected to sell out quickly.

Weighing just under 1 1/2 lb with 16" blades, our tenon saws are the largest saws in the Veritas line. The crosscut saw is well balanced, with a spine molded from a mixture of stainless-steel powder for weight, glass fiber for stiffness and a polymer resin binder.

  • 12 tpi crosscut pattern

  • Blade is made from 0.024" thick high-carbon steel with 0.003" of set per side and a cut depth of nearly 4"

  • Teeth have a 15° rake and have been filed with alternating 15° bevels so they sever wood fibers rather than tear them

  • Made in Canada
