Description
This 36" × 48" plan is complemented with a detailed and well-written instruction book that contains a bill of materials, a cutting list, jig and fixture plans (where necessary), alternative construction notes and suggested finishing techniques.
This striking rocker design is enhanced by the selection of a highly figured wood such as curly maple. The sides are assembled with mortise and tenon joinery and then routed and shaped. If you like working with a router, you will enjoy building this project. After setting up the jig for the slats and routing, it is amazing how quickly the rocker goes together. When complete, it measures 44" high by 22" wide and 30" deep.
