The 5.0 Ah Li-HighPower battery is a versatile mainstay of Festool’s 18V system, now updated with revised cell technology for increased power output.

Using Li-HighPower cells, this battery delivers higher power output than standard 5.0 Ah batteries, making it well suited to high-demand tools such as Festool’s latest-generation saws. It is designed to maintain consistent output and practical run time across a wide range of applications.

Balanced for everyday use, it combines compact size with sustained power delivery. This makes it suitable as a general-purpose battery for a broad range of cordless tools. Its energy delivery is matched to Festool brushless EC-TEC motors to support efficient operation under load.

When used with the Airstream SCA 16 rapid charger, the battery is actively cooled before and during charging to shorten recharge time. Integrated Bluetooth functionality can automatically activate a paired Festool Cleantec dust extractor when the cordless tool is switched on.

The Festool app provides access to battery information including charge level, temperature and charge-cycle history.
