Description

Discontinued. Limited stock.

With their extended length and tapered section, these jaws offer the advantage of providing clearance between the chuck and the workpiece for close-in tool work on the underside of a bowl or a vase bottom.

The lip of the jaw has internal and external faces with smooth, non-marring dovetails for gripping a short tenon and expansion into a recessed foot. The jaws also have a deep recess to firmly hold the long tenons required when working at a distance from the headstock without tailstock support.

Available in two versions: 35mm (1 3/8") for all Axminster chucks, and 50mm (2") for the K10 and Goliath. Screw-mounted inserts are available separately for the large jaws to reduce their diameter (spigot size noted).

The 35mm (1 3/8”) O’Donnell jaws are compatible with the K8, K10 and Goliath chucks and have an internal gripping capacity between 1 3/16” and 1 31/32”, an external gripping capacity between 1 25/32” and 2 9/16” and an optimum gripping capacity between 1 3/8” and 1 25/32”.

The 50mm (2”) O’Donnell jaws are compatible with the K10 chuck and have an internal gripping capacity between 1 7/8” and 2 27/32”, an external gripping capacity between 2 3/8” and 3 11/32” and an optimum gripping capacity between 1 31/32” and 2 15/32”. The jaws are also compatible with the Goliath chuck and have an internal gripping capacity between 1 7/8” and 4 1/32”, an external gripping capacity between 2 3/8” and 4 17/32” and an optimum gripping capacity between 1 31/32” and 2 15/32”.
